Moby – Heroes (Planningtorock Remix)
In 2022, Planningtorock and Moby collaborated on the remix of David Bowie’s “Heroes”
for the album Reprise – Remixes.
They were looking for someone to create the visuals for the track. I proposed using the music video as a platform to shed light on the case of Natalia Lane.
Natalia Lane is a trans sex worker and human rights defender who has been advocating for sex workers’ rights in Mexico and Latin America. On January 16, 2022, she survived a transphobic attack while working in a hotel in Mexico City.
Since then, she has used media attention surrounding the attack to push for legal recognition and protection of sex workers’ rights in Mexico.
She is the definition of a hero.
